Kyle’s Notes:

Being the Rickhouse release, I wanted to feature Floor 4 over 3 to get a bit more of that full flavored experience I wanted in this product.  I knew that there needed to be a variation in the March/April BiB and the April Rickhouse, and based on the product availability, this was about as much of a difference I could make. I actually created this batch in the lab at the same time as the March BiB knowing both together would close out the Fall 2017 barrels.  So a tradeoff in one changed the barrels for the other.  I think the combination that I used really worked well to create two unique bottlings.  

This release of Soft Red Rickhouse is for the national release as well as including some product for the United Kingdom opportunity that we had. Because of that, this was a lot of fun and very humbling to put this product together.

Bourbon Nerd Information: 

On 4/4/2024 a total of 116 barrels were dumped to produce our April 2024 Rickhouse Proof with a barrel loss of 31.0% during aging.  A total of 14 distilling days were used in the batch from the Fall 2017 distilling season. The weighted average for the floor was 3.64 and there were 6 different ricks used as seen below.
